Which apps can be added in a room?
You can add any web app that can be embeddable on a web page in a Veertly room. Check out our Veertly Marketplace to check out apps that we have already tested, but surely there are many more you can use! Just share with us which ones you would like to see added to this list! How do I configure a website to be embeddable in an app?
In order to allow the integration of a website in a room app, the site that is being added as a web app needs to allow the embedding by the Veertly platform. This is achievable through the headers provided by the respective website. Before allowing a webpage to be embeddable on an iframe, browsers check the headers the respective website provides. If it denies the embedding, the browser refuses to connect and an error is shown in Veertly. To solve this issue, **the following header must be retu

To add a new app to your Veertly event, simply click “Create room” or edit an existing room and click on “+ Advanced configuration”. In this expanded pane, click on the button “Add app”. A new window appears and offers you two fields: App Name: Enter the name which should be displayed to other attendees. App URL: Enter the URL of the application that you would like to embed. Similar to the rooms, you can create a category by being in the rooms area and click the “Create category” button via the settings menu on the top of the rooms pane. How to get a direct link to a room?
In some specific cases, you may want to have your attendees join a specific room. You can also customize the link to your room by editing the url on the edit page of your room (under the advanced configuration). The lobby page of the event can be updated at any time during the event. The lobby content can be exactly the same as the description you have defined in your event page and in order to update it you can simply edit your event details. How do I create a room?
In order to create a room, you need to be inside your event (you can use the backdoor access if the event is not live yet). From the Rooms tab, you have the option to create any number of rooms. After clicking the "create room" button you will be prompted to fill out its name and add a description if you'd like. If you previously created categories for your rooms you can then choose to which it belongs to. When creating a room, you can set: Name of the room **Description of the event

Sending broadcast messages to your attendees can be a very good way to drive actions from your audience. There are no limit to the number of rooms you may have.
How to configure the backstage?
In order to configure the backstage, just add the link to your Restream studio or other embeddable livestream platform on the main stage tab of the cockpit of your event. Please note that in order to have the backstage activated, you need to enable it on both the main stage backstage section but also on the Look & Feel section.
How do polls work?
In the polls section, you can create a poll for your participants. The polls can contain several possible answers but participants can only select one option. You can add multiple answers and reorder them if you desire. How to configure polls?
Similar to the networking area, you can also replace the default Veertly’s polls functionalities with a 3rd party solution. For that, you can set the URL of your desired system in the cockpit under the configuration tab. How to limit number of attendees in rooms?
If you want to limit the amount of people per room, in the advanced configuration you can set the number of attendees that are allowed to enter. By default, rooms are limited to 42 people but you can increase to any number.
How to configure a social wall?
The Social Wall feature of Veertly lists tweets with a certain #HashTag directly into your event. This can be extremely interesting for hybrid events to connect people in the venue with the audience online! Please note that this feature needs to be activated by Veertly’s team and has an extra cost. Please contact us if you need to know more.
Why would I use a room?
Rooms are the most engaging feature of Veertly! They are a great way to drive engagement since you can setup each one with a specific purpose or add several apps inside. Some use case for rooms: team building activities; promote discussions by topic of interest; collaboration tools, create a leisure area. How to manage chat messages?
In the global chat, as a host you can manage the existing messages by: Archiving the message Pinning the message to the top of the chat In order to reach these functionalities, click on the three dots menu that are visible when hovering a chat message (if you are a host).
What is the backstage for?
If your event is configured with a live stream, as a host you can also enable your attendees to enter directly into the live stream by activating the “Backstage” section of your event. The backstage area allows you to integrate any other application you may use to manage your live stream. We strongly recommend using Restream to create your live stream, as it is very easy for all participants and hosts. However you can also use other systems like Zoom by placing the link
Which type of apps can I create?
You can create the following type of apps: Web app: any web page that can be embeddable in another web page. You just need to configure the name and the url of the app. Video player: this type of app allows you to embed any video from a video site (like youtube, vimeo, twitch, facebook, etc), or any live stream. You only need to provide the link to the video itself. This is using the same mechanism as the Main Stage, which allows you to have parallel live sessions in addition to th
How many people can be in a room?
Each room can have up to 100 people, but if everyone has their camera on it might not be displayed for some, as this depends on each person's bandwidth and hardware and the connection may become unstable. Therefore we recommend a limit of 30 to 40 people in a video conference for an optimum experience, unless most cameras are disabled.

Why can I not see my broadcast messages when I should?
This may happen if your pc's clock is not accurate. You might not see the broadcast at all or have it delayed somewhat. Please see how to correct the time if you have a Mac here. And if on Windows 10: Navigate to Control Panel > Clock, Language and Region > Date and time > Set the time and date > Internet time > Change settings > check Synchronize with an Internet time server and click Update now.
How to add contact cards to your event?
Contact cards can be added to rooms. They allow participants to know which person is associated with a particular brand and who to contact within the event for more information. Please see how to add a contact card in the following video:

How to embed videos?
It is possible to embed videos either on the Main Stage or in a Room. For the Main Stage just choose 'Embedded App' in the cockpit as so: And in the 'App URL' enter the embeddable link of the video you would like to have. How does the new guest list welcome page look like?
When a guest tries to access the event using his/her guest list access it will first go to a brief welcome page that allows the verification of the guest profile used to enter the event. Please see how it looks in the following video:
What languages are supported by Veertly?
When you enter an event our platform automatically uses the browser language you have, if not available it defaults to English. You can see what languages we support at the moment through your profile icon in the right upper corner when you are in an event. How is an event limited to one tab?
By limiting an event to only one tab, the attendee will not appear in the same event twice. Please see how in the following video:
How to add URL placeholders in the new areas of the navigation bar?
Similar to what is already possible in the rooms, you can now use the URL placeholders in the custom areas added to the navigation bar.
