7. This chapter is about the fine-tuning of the functionalities of your event.
On the “Configuration” tab of your event cockpit, you can adjust several settings:
- Rooms creation by attendees: Decide if attendees can create rooms, or if this feature is exclusive to hosts. If disabled, hosts can still create rooms within a specific category by enabling this option in the category settings.
- Allow creation of polls: Configure whether attendees have the capability to create polls or if this privilege is reserved for hosts.
- View previous polls: Determine if attendees can access previous polls or if these should be hidden from view.
- Allow conversations via video/chat: Enable or disable attendees’ ability to initiate conversations through chat or video.
- Allow joining rooms: Restrict or enable attendees’ ability to directly join rooms, allowing you to precisely manage room assignments using the manage attendees feature.
- Display number of attendees: Show or hide the number of attendees present on the main stage, in networking areas, and in the overall attendee list.
- Display attendees in rooms: Decide whether attendees should be visible on room cards and in the join room dialog.
- Show presence switch: By default, participants are visible to the network only when entering the networking area. Enable this setting to allow participants to switch their availability via the top bar and receive calls without being in the networking area. Note: The “Allow Conversations” setting must also be enabled for initiating calls.
- Show onboarding tutorial: Enable or disable the onboarding tutorial for new attendees.
- Send calendar invite: Now configurable within each email template.
- Hide lobby image: Opt to hide the lobby image located in the bottom-right corner.
- Hide social sharing buttons: Choose to hide social sharing buttons after registration.
- Hide add to calendar button: Select this option to hide the add-to-calendar button on the event page.
- Auto join rooms: If activated, attendees automatically join rooms when clicking on the room card or entering a category with only one room. Disclaimer: This setting is not recommended, as attendees might unknowingly enter a video call.
- Custom default landing area: Enable customization of where participants land when first joining the event.
- Change event page date formatting: Adjust the date format displayed on the event page.
- Skip event page: Option to bypass the event page.
